Location – Ranchi, Gumla & Godda

Responsibilities of a Domain Trainer – GDA in DDU-KK Mega Project

1. Conducting Domain-Specific Training

  • Delivering comprehensive training on the General Duty Assistant (GDA) curriculum prescribed by DDU-KK.
  • Teaching candidates essential healthcare skills such as patient care, hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic medical support.
  • Ensuring candidates understand their role in maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.

2. Curriculum Implementation

  • Adhering to the curriculum guidelines provided by DDU-KK and NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation).
  • Using teaching aids such as manuals, charts, videos, and practical demonstrations to enhance learning.
  • Continuously updating training methods to incorporate the latest healthcare practices.

3. Practical Training and Simulations

  • Providing hands-on training in skills like patient bathing, feeding, bed making, and assisting with medical devices.
  • Organizing simulations or role-playing exercises to prepare candidates for real-world healthcare scenarios.
  • Supervising practical assessments in collaboration with healthcare facilities, if applicable.

4. Candidate Assessment

  • Conducting regular assessments, including written tests, practical evaluations, and oral interviews, to monitor progress.
  • Identifying skill gaps and providing personalized feedback to candidates.
  • Preparing reports on candidate performance for submission to project coordinators.

5. Soft Skills Integration

  • Incorporating soft skills training related to the healthcare profession, such as communication, empathy, and teamwork.
  • Preparing candidates for professional interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

6. Placement Preparation

  • Guiding candidates on workplace readiness, including understanding job roles, work ethics, and professional behavior.
  • Conducting mock interviews and group discussions to enhance placement success rates.

7. Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintaining accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and candidate performance.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with the guidelines set by DDU-KK and NSDC.
  • Preparing and submitting training reports to supervisors or project managers.

8. Coordination with Stakeholders

  • Collaborating with center coordinators, mobilizers, and placement teams to ensure seamless training and placement.
  • Engaging with healthcare institutions for exposure visits or on-the-job training opportunities.

9. Ensuring Candidate Retention and Motivation

  • Motivating candidates to complete the training program and maintain regular attendance.
  • Addressing individual challenges faced by candidates to minimize dropouts.

10. Promoting Health and Safety Practices

  • Emphasizing workplace safety and infection control measures during training.
  • Educating candidates about personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and emergency response protocols.
