Responsibilities:
- Training & Instruction:
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions on drone operations, including flying, maneuvering, safety protocols, and regulations.
- Teach theoretical and practical aspects of drone technology, including hardware, software, and GPS navigation systems.
- Curriculum Development:
- Develop and design a training curriculum that covers various aspects of drone technology, such as drone types, components, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Incorporate the latest industry standards and advancements into the course.
- Hands-on Training:
- Provide practical, hands-on flight training for students to build confidence in handling drones.
- Supervise and assess students during flight practice, ensuring they understand air traffic rules and drone safety.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all students are trained in safety protocols and the legal requirements for flying drones, including those set by DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) in India.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety guidelines during practical training.
- Assessment & Certification:
- Regularly assess trainees’ progress through quizzes, exams, and flight evaluations.
- Provide certifications to students who meet the required standards of drone operation.
- Industry Updates:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest drone technology, regulations, and industry practices to provide relevant training.
- Incorporate new drone applications, such as aerial photography, surveying, and delivery services, into the training modules.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Teach students how to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair drones to ensure long-term usability.
- Provide insights into pre-flight inspections, drone maintenance schedules, and problem-solving techniques.
- Student Support:
- Offer post-training support and guidance to students seeking employment or setting up a drone-based business.
- Assist students in understanding career opportunities in industries like agriculture, logistics, filmmaking, and security.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in aviation, electronics, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in drone operations and UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) piloting from recognized institutions.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in flying and operating drones, with a strong understanding of UAV technology.
- Prior teaching or training experience, particularly in drone operations or related technical fields, is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in drone systems, GPS, radio control, camera systems, and drone-specific software.
- Knowledge of DGCA guidelines and other regulatory frameworks for drone usage in India.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively instruct and engage students.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods based on student needs.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills to help students identify and fix common drone issues.
- Ability to manage technical challenges during training sessions.
- Safety-Oriented:
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and the ability to instill these practices in students.
- Awareness of environmental factors, air traffic regulations, and risk management in drone flying.
