Responsibilities of an English and Soft Skills Trainer 

1. English Language Training:

  • Teach English Language Skills: Conduct classes to improve trainees’ proficiency in English, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Grammar and Vocabulary: Provide instruction on English grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to enhance overall language skills.
  • Communication Skills: Develop trainees’ ability to effectively communicate in English, including pronunciation, articulation, and language fluency.
  • Practical Application: Use real-life scenarios and role-playing exercises to help trainees practice and apply their English language skills in various contexts.

2. Soft Skills Training:

  • Communication Skills: Train trainees in effective verbal and non-verbal communication, including presentation skills, active listening, and professional etiquette.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Develop trainees’ ability to work collaboratively, manage conflicts, and build positive relationships in the workplace.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Teach problem-solving techniques, decision-making processes, and critical thinking skills to handle workplace challenges.
  • Time Management and Organization: Provide strategies for effective time management, prioritization, and organization to enhance productivity and efficiency.

3. Curriculum Development:

  • Design Training Modules: Develop and update training materials and modules for English language and soft skills training, ensuring they meet DDU-GKY standards.
  • Incorporate Industry Relevance: Align training content with industry requirements and job market expectations to ensure trainees are job-ready.
  • Interactive Learning: Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that include group activities, simulations, and practical exercises.

4. Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct Assessments: Design and administer tests and evaluations to measure trainees’ progress in English language skills and soft skills development.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to trainees on their performance, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Track Progress: Monitor and document trainee progress, providing reports on their development and achievements.

5. Practical Applications:

  • Role-Playing Exercises: Implement role-playing and mock interviews to help trainees practice their English and soft skills in realistic scenarios.
  • Workplace Simulations: Conduct simulations of workplace situations to prepare trainees for real-world challenges and interactions.

6. Support and Mentorship:

  • Individual Support: Provide one-on-one support and guidance to trainees who may require additional help with language or soft skills.
  • Career Guidance: Assist trainees in understanding the importance of English and soft skills in their career development and job search process.
  • Motivation and Encouragement: Encourage and motivate trainees to build confidence and stay committed to their training goals.

7. Collaboration with Other Trainers:

  • Coordinate with Trainers: Work closely with other trainers to integrate English and soft skills training with technical or vocational training programs.
  • Share Best Practices: Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve training methodologies.

8. Resource Management:

  • Utilize Training Resources: Ensure effective use of training resources such as language learning tools, multimedia materials, and educational software.
  • Maintain Training Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of training equipment and materials.

9. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare Reports: Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, performance, and progress, and prepare reports for project management.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all training activities, assessments, and evaluations are documented and reported as per DDU-GKY guidelines.

10. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in English language teaching and soft skills development.
  • Feedback Incorporation: Use feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve the training program and delivery methods.
