Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Supervising Daily Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, banquet, or room service.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff.

  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service quality.

2. Customer Service and Guest Satisfaction

  • Ensure excellent customer service and address guest concerns or complaints.

  • Train staff on guest handling techniques to enhance dining experiences.

  • Monitor feedback and work on service improvement strategies.

3. Staff Supervision and Training

  • Assign duties to waiters, bartenders, and other F&B staff.

  • Conduct staff training on service protocols, hygiene, and food safety.

  • Motivate and guide employees to improve service efficiency.

4. Inventory and Stock Management

  • Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.

  • Ensure proper ordering, receiving, and storage of perishable and non-perishable items.

  • Minimize wastage and control costs through efficient inventory management.

5. Hygiene and Safety Compliance

  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP guidelines).

  • Ensure proper handling of food and beverages to prevent contamination.

  • Maintain health and safety compliance with FSSAI, fire safety, and workplace regulations.

6. Sales and Revenue Management

  • Promote upselling and cross-selling of food and beverage items.

  • Work with the management team to develop menu pricing and promotional offers.

  • Monitor daily sales reports and suggest revenue improvement strategies.

7. Event and Banquet Coordination

  • Plan and oversee banquets, conferences, and catering services.

  • Coordinate with chefs, decorators, and event planners to ensure smooth execution.

  • Ensure timely service and high guest satisfaction during events.

8. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain sales records, inventory reports, and shift summaries.

  • Track staff performance and suggest improvements.

  • Report any maintenance or operational issues to higher management.
