Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery & Curriculum Implementation

  • Conduct theoretical and practical training as per the NSQF-aligned GDA syllabus.
  • Teach students about patient care, hygiene, vital signs monitoring, and infection control.
  • Use demonstrations, case studies, role-plays, and real-life simulations to enhance learning.
  • Ensure students understand hospital protocols, medical ethics, and patient rights.

2. Practical Skill Development

  • Train students on basic nursing skills like patient mobility, personal hygiene, and wound care.
  • Demonstrate proper usage of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and oxygen cylinders.
  • Conduct hands-on practice in simulated environments or hospital visits.
  • Teach basic first-aid procedures and CPR techniques.

3. Student Evaluation & Assessment

  • Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and practical demonstrations to track progress.
  • Provide individual feedback to help students improve their skills.
  • Prepare students for final assessments and certification as per DDU-GKY guidelines.

4. Placement Readiness & Soft Skills Training

  • Train students in communication skills, bedside manners, and patient interaction.
  • Conduct resume-building and interview preparation sessions.
  • Ensure students are industry-ready by focusing on professional grooming and workplace etiquette.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain student attendance records, progress reports, and assessment sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to DDU-GKY and NSQF standards in training delivery.
  • Submit weekly/monthly reports on student performance and training activities.

6. Industry Collaboration & Exposure

  • Arrange hospital visits, guest lectures, and industry expert sessions for real-world exposure.
  • Coordinate with healthcare facilities for on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Keep students updated with latest industry practices and medical advancements.

7. Student Motivation & Retention

  • Encourage students to complete the training program and prevent dropouts.
  • Conduct motivational sessions and career counseling to build confidence.
  • Address student concerns and provide necessary guidance and mentorship.

8. Coordination with Placement & Center Teams

  • Work with the Center Manager and Placement Officer to align training with job requirements.
  • Provide performance feedback to the placement team to ensure job readiness.
  • Assist in organizing job fairs and employer interviews for student placements.

9. Safety, Ethics, and Discipline

  • Ensure students follow safety protocols and hygiene standards during training.
  • Teach ethical practices, patient confidentiality, and professional discipline.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
