Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Training Delivery & Curriculum Implementation

  • Conduct theoretical and practical training as per NSQF-aligned syllabus for Guest Service Associate.
  • Teach students about guest handling, customer service, reservation procedures, and hospitality operations.
  • Use role-playing, case studies, and real-world simulations for effective learning.
  • Train students on hotel software (Property Management Systems – PMS) and service etiquette.

2. Practical Skill Development

  • Demonstrate greeting guests, check-in/check-out processes, and handling guest inquiries.
  • Train students in housekeeping operations, room service, and concierge services.
  • Provide hands-on training in table setting, food & beverage service, and restaurant etiquette.
  • Ensure students practice handling complaints, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

3. Customer Service & Soft Skills Training

  • Teach guest communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and professional grooming.
  • Conduct mock customer interactions, telephone etiquette, and complaint handling sessions.
  • Train students on teamwork, adaptability, and emotional intelligence in the hospitality industry.

4. Student Assessment & Performance Evaluation

  • Conduct written tests, practical assessments, and service demonstrations.
  • Provide individual feedback and coaching for skill enhancement.
  • Prepare students for certification exams and real-world job scenarios.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain attendance records, training progress reports, and student assessments.
  • Ensure training meets DDU-GKY and NSQF standards.
  • Submit weekly/monthly reports on training activities and student development.

6. Industry Collaboration & Practical Exposure

  • Organize hotel and restaurant visits, guest lectures, and expert interactions.
  • Arrange on-the-job training (OJT) with hospitality partners.
  • Keep students updated on hospitality trends, customer expectations, and industry innovations.

7. Placement Readiness & Career Guidance

  • Train students in resume writing, interview skills, and job application processes.
  • Conduct mock interviews and role-plays to build confidence.
  • Guide students on career opportunities in hotels, airlines, and travel & tourism sectors.

8. Student Motivation & Retention

  • Encourage students to complete the training and pursue employment opportunities.
  • Conduct motivational sessions and guest interactions to inspire learning.
  • Address student concerns and provide mentorship for career growth.

9. Coordination with Placement & Center Teams

  • Work closely with the Center Manager and Placement Officer to ensure students are job-ready.
  • Provide student performance reports to support placement efforts.
  • Assist in job fairs, employer interviews, and recruitment drives.

10. Safety, Ethics, and Discipline

  • Ensure students follow hospitality safety protocols, hygiene, and professional ethics.
  • Teach workplace discipline, teamwork, and service-oriented behavior.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
