Roles and Responsibilities of a Soft Skill Trainer:
1. Training Delivery:
- Conduct engaging and interactive sessions on soft skills, focusing on communication, teamwork, time management, workplace etiquette, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence.
- Use diverse teaching methods such as role-playing, group activities, storytelling, case studies, and multimedia tools to keep participants motivated.
- Ensure training aligns with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and the curriculum provided by DDUKK.
2. Personality Development:
- Guide candidates in building self-confidence, grooming, and professional presentation.
- Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and public speaking exercises to improve candidates’ comfort in professional settings.
- Train candidates to develop positive body language and effective listening skills.
3. Communication Skill Enhancement:
- Teach verbal and written communication skills, focusing on English language basics if required.
- Train candidates to draft professional emails, resumes, and other workplace documents.
- Enhance candidates’ ability to express themselves clearly and confidently.
4. Workplace Readiness:
- Train candidates on workplace ethics, time management, conflict resolution, and stress management.
- Prepare candidates for cultural diversity in workplaces and help them adapt to corporate or industrial environments.
- Educate them on the importance of punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
5. Counseling and Motivation:
- Act as a mentor and motivator for candidates, especially female participants, to overcome societal or personal barriers.
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to address specific challenges faced by candidates.
- Boost candidates’ confidence to pursue jobs, even in new locations, and adapt to work environments.
6. Gender Sensitivity and Inclusivity:
- Address gender-specific challenges faced by female candidates in workplaces and provide strategies to overcome them.
- Encourage women to participate actively in training and workplace opportunities.
- Foster an inclusive environment during training sessions.
7. Assessment and Feedback:
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate candidates’ progress and skill acquisition.
- Provide constructive feedback to candidates and suggest areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of candidates’ performance and attendance.
8. Content Customization and Innovation:
- Tailor training content to meet the needs of rural youth with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
- Continuously update training modules with the latest industry trends and workplace requirements.
9. Reporting and Compliance:
- Maintain training reports, attendance records, and feedback forms for submission to project managers and stakeholders.
- Adhere to the guidelines and standards set by DDUKK
- for soft skill training delivery.
10. Collaboration and Support:
- Coordinate with mobilizers, technical trainers, and project managers to ensure a smooth training experience.
- Support candidates in understanding and integrating technical and domain-specific knowledge with soft skills.
