Responsibilities –

 

1. Curriculum Delivery:

  • Deliver soft skills training according to the curriculum outlined by DDU-GKY, covering areas such as communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Focus on enhancing the trainees’ spoken and written communication, professionalism, etiquette, and overall personality development.
  • Incorporate methods such as role-plays, simulations, group activities, and interactive sessions to make the training engaging and effective.

2. Training on Communication Skills:

  • Provide training on verbal and non-verbal communication, including speaking clearly, active listening, body language, and presentation skills.
  • Help trainees improve their confidence in speaking English and other regional languages as per the job requirements.

3. Personality Development:

  • Conduct sessions to enhance personal grooming, confidence, and self-esteem, especially for students from rural backgrounds who may lack exposure to formal work environments.
  • Offer tips on maintaining a professional appearance and behavior in interviews and workplace settings.

4. Teamwork and Leadership Skills:

  • Teach the trainees how to work effectively in teams by building cooperation, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Develop their leadership abilities by encouraging decision-making, initiative, and accountability.

5. Interview and Job-Readiness Training:

  • Provide specific guidance on preparing for job interviews, including building resumes, practicing interview questions, and teaching the right body language and etiquette.
  • Train the participants in work ethics, punctuality, and maintaining a professional attitude.

6. Confidence Building:

  • Use motivational techniques and exercises to help trainees build confidence, particularly for those who are shy or lack self-assurance.
  • Help participants overcome challenges such as stage fright, public speaking anxiety, or the fear of engaging in professional discussions.

7. Time Management and Organizational Skills:

  • Train the candidates on how to manage their time effectively, set priorities, and handle workplace stress.
  • Equip them with organizational skills to enhance their productivity in their personal and professional lives.

8. Monitoring Progress and Providing Feedback:

  • Assess trainees through written assignments, presentations, and practical exercises to track their development.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help them improve their soft skills, confidence, and employability.

9. Customized Support:

  • Understand the specific needs and challenges faced by each trainee, offering one-on-one mentoring and support where required.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to address the unique learning pace of the trainees, especially those coming from underprivileged or rural backgrounds.

10. Placement Assistance:

  • Support placement activities by preparing candidates for the work environment and helping them adapt to the professional culture.
  • Conduct mock interviews and simulate job scenarios to boost their readiness for real-world job situations.

11. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain proper documentation of the training sessions, attendance, assessments, and feedback.
  • Submit regular progress reports to the Project Implementing Agency (PIA) and adhere to DDU-GKY’s guidelines for monitoring and evaluation.

12. Collaboration with Technical Trainers:

  • Work closely with other trainers (technical or domain-specific) to integrate soft skills training into the broader skill development program.
  • Ensure that the soft skills complement the technical skills being taught, providing a holistic development experience for the candidates.
